*Hybrid/Remote flexibility after completion of probationary period. Some local travel required.
Type: Full-time, Grant-Funded (3 years)
Salary & Benefits: 40-43k, salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include employee health insurance, paid time off, and mileage reimbursement.

The United Way of Venango and Titusville Region is seeking a motivated, people-oriented writer with a passion for building connections and serving the community!
As a Grant Writer, you will research and prepare compelling grant applications for a wide variety of nonprofit organizations within our local communities. You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with community agencies to understand their needs and identify potential collaborations.
- Researching available grants that align with their needs and goals.
- Preparing and compiling data for proposals and application packages.
- Ensuring all grant applications are accurate, properly formatted, and submitted on time according to agency requirements.
- Support the full grant lifecycle—including prospecting, application development, post-award reporting, and funder follow-up.
- Serve as a liaison between grant seekers and funding agencies.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements. Track each cycle and manage donor communications, as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all grant activities.
- Assist in training staff and community partners on grant writing best practices.
- Cultivate relationships with new funders and community stakeholders.
- Support the development of templates, tools, and shared resources for future proposals.
- Additional responsibilities as needed to support team objectives.
Previous experience in grant writing, fundraising, or technical writing is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Non-profit Management, or a related field. 4-years relevant work experience may be substituted.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive narratives.
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- A strong work ethic, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Understanding of data quality standards and compliance practices.
- Must hold a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and maintain personal car insurance.
