Palestine Through Song with Nibal Abd El Karim
Monday July 22nd 4pm-5pm
Nibal grew up a Palestinian resident of Israel. She has sung her entire life, and her voice is extraordinary. She will tell stories about growing up in Nazareth, share ballads from the Arabic speaking world, and discuss how these songs have been her way to grieve, keep her culture alive, heal, and promote peace.
She will also be talking at the Cooperstown library from 6-7pm.
