Adulting 101 is targeted for teens between the ages of 12-18 and will provide useful tips and career options on a vast amount of topics. Each month will focus on a new theme and will hold different workshop(s), including informational presentations, outreach tours of businesses, and hands-on activities that coincide with the theme. Registration will be required at the beginning of each month!
August's theme will be Lawn Care and Power Tool Safety. There will be 3 workshop(s) for this month. In this form you will select which workshop(s) you would like to attend.
Workshop #1
Tuesday, August 15th from 2-3 p.m.
Lawn care overview and entrepreneurship discussion.
Join Mark Baughman as he gives a brief overview on the equipment needed to care for a yard and also discusses how he began his power washing business.
Workshop #2
Saturday, August 19th from 1-2 p.m.
Power tool safety.
In this workshop, the teens will get to see different power tools in action and the proper function of each. They will also be given tips on how to use these tools safely.
Workshop #3
Tuesday, August 22nd from 2-3 p.m.

**This workshop will be off site of the library.
Please arrive at the library by 1:45, and we will walk to this business together. It is located on 13th street.
Rebekah Eakin will show us her shop and guide the teens in creating their own small arrangement to take home with them!
